She specialists in Emotional Well being- Stabilizing Emotions, Complex interpersonal trauma, Depressive symptoms & Sadness, Chronic Stress, Adjustment Disorders, Social Anxiety, Self-doubt and self-worth, developing and maintaining healthy relationships.
Maria believes in resolving conflict and cultivating healthy thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors to improve people’s quality of life. She is also equipped to offer families with the needed support and evidence based strategies that may help them manage parenting and family conflict.
Maria uses variety of modalities while applying therapeutic framework of evidence- based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt and humanistic approaches to Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Principles of Mindfulness
Maria shares this ideology across her practice, that is, “Happiness is not just a place, but also a process. Happiness is an ongoing process of fresh challenges, and it takes the right attitudes and activities to continue to be happy.” This philosophy underpins Maria’s work as she is passionate about actively listening, without judgements to equip people during their on-going journey of achieving their treatment goals.

Fees & Rebate

Individual Therapy
Sessions are conducted by Registered Psychologists for 50 mins, and are eligible for Medicare and Private Health Insurance rebates. Fees for individual therapy sessions is $210 (Our fees are significantly lower than the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee of $311).

Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are offered for up to 10 sessions each calendar year. For accessing Medicare rebates,A mental health care plan can be ascertained via a GP, Pediatrician and/or Psychiatrist. For those not requiring a rebate, a doctor's mental health care plan referral is not required. Some private health insurances cover psychology sessions- please contact your insurer for more information.
Starting from July 1, 2024, the Medicare rebate for each session will be $96.65.

Couples Therapy
Couples counseling sessions run for 90 minutes and cost $275 per session.
Please note: Couples counseling sessions are not eligible for a medicare rebate. If you have private health insurance, please contact your insurer to ascertain whether couples counseling is covered under your plan.
